How To: Get Glowy Skin With Makeup
We always see glowy skin on celebrities and models but not everyone is blessed with that. The good news is you can fake the glow with makeup and a few tricks tricks.
* Use a foundation with light-reflecting particles or shimmer in it. Just make sure the particles are super fine to avoid looking like a greaseball.
* Dust on a shimmery loose powder. I really like Clinique Gentle Light Powder for a soft, glowy effect.
* Mix a dime-size drop of liquid bronzer or highlighter into your foundation. My picks? Revlon Skinlights Face Illuminator, MAC Strobe Cream and Giorgio Armani Fluid Sheer.
* Blend a shimmery highlighter or blush along your temples, cheekbones and chin. Try NARS Multiple, Bobbi Brown Shimmerbrick or MAC Mineralize Skinfinsh.
Rule of Thumb
* Shimmer does not equate glitter. You never ever want chunks of glitter on your face.
* Do not go overboard. If you are using a foundation with shimmer, keep the rest of your face shimmer-less to keep the look modern.

Have you ever tried Mac Fix+. I’m using that right now, just spary your face after applying makeup (after applying power and blush), and it will give you a dewy look. It’s not as shiny as the Mac Strobe, I find that too shiny especially since I have oily skin.

i use really light coat vaseline on my cheeks. and it makes it look dewy and soft.
also, the skincare line, missha bright is awesome in bringing out the “brightness” of ur skin/the dewy glow. etc.
yah I have tried MAC Fix + as well. I use it to set my makeup and it gives me that dewy look too.
i love your blog phyllis!! it is so helpful and informative. can you recommend a couple of products that will really make my skin glow…like those korean actresses? sometimes i use bb cream and this shimmery highlighter but i would love to try other products.
i don’t use too much makeup but i would love to make my skin all dewy and shimmery like that. thanks!!
